EP 166-Iowa Teacher-Wrestling Coach Takes Sabbatical Thanks to Financial Independence
Joel is a teacher and wrestling coach who makes it clear that his family isn't cheap, but they are frugal. At 36 years old, he negotiated with his school and recently took the year off. During this time, his wife is stepping away from education which was scary, but that’s about as fearless as it gets! Joel has started two businesses has learned a whole bunch along the way. In school, he switched from the classroom to physical education, which has reduced his grading etc.
They are debt free, mortgage free and are living the dream of financial independence in their 30's!
